At 23 I got my first Ranger boat and immediately fished a Children's Miracle Network tourney with my wife, Liz. As the final weigh-in time approached we were fishing within sight of the check-in station... Fish On! A nice one - at least a couple of pounds. With literally only a couple of minutes left, I horsed the fish in... a little too quickly, it turns out, as it got away. It was a close tournament - we came in 23rd, but only 2 pounds away from First Place... the one that got away a couple of minutes before closing!
For 5 years I lived on Toledo Bend Lake on the Texas side and owned a marina. In addition to guiding at the marina, I competed in the FLW Circuits (Bass Fishing League, Stren Series and Texas Tournament Trail) and did pretty well with them. I was privileged to fish the FLW Tour against many of my idols - the really big names in fishing.
Now, I'm ready to make my home where the winters are warm and the bass are BIG! Come fish Falcon Lake with a lifelong, dedicated Bass Fisherman!
